Climbing on bits of rock (or plastic) above a crash-pad, without a rope.
Bouldering has exploded in popularity, its addition to the Olympics says it all. The simplicity of only needing shoes and chalk bag makes it accessible to everyone.
Y Warws was once an iconic outdoor shop and home to the famous brand Gelert. We aim to revive the roadside, glass-fronted, showroom building. The dream is not only to create a wonderful bouldering wall and a quality, well equipped gym (with a focus on free weights and calisthenics rather than clunky complicated machines), but to build a therapy room, sell tasty snacks with a Mexican inspiration, serve quality coffees and smoothies and play awesome tunes.
Bowldro would be an attraction for the many visitors to Beddgelert and an asset to the community. We aim to run after-school clubs and youth clubs, opportunities that are missing from the community and have been for many years.
This community focus extends to how we would like to fund the project. We are selling equity shares and we need investors to help make this dream become a reality!
